I have been fishing with Preston for a few years now. From the heat of summer to days in the teens with snow coming down, I’ve experienced some of my best trips imaginable when we get on the water. The well thought out day floats and his organization of time and supplies makes everything so streamlined. He always has quality equipment, and an in depth knowledge of the rivers and streams we fish PLUS he’s a patient educator! You can tell it’s a passion for him especially when you land a dandy! My favorite spot is when we hit a stretch of river in Tennessee that he calls “Brown-Town”. He put me on a stud 21” Brown that was landed using 6X. It was my first trout on a fly that was over 18” and boy was that a thrill! Can’t wait to get back on the water and do it again.

As a Mothers Day gift, I took my wife for our first ever fly fishing trip.  We had such an awesome day.  Preston was a perfect guide, patiently teaching us the ins and outs of casting, mending, etc.

He was very knowledgeable and we were on the fish w/in 20 minutes of getting in the boat, and caught fish until we took the boat out of the water, except when we stopped to have a great lunch.

Can’t wait to get back on the river with Preston, I’ll never use a different guide ….

I highly recommend Sycamore Fly Fishing. I have been fishing with Preston for years, from wading trips to float trips. I have caught personal best Small Mouth, and Trout with Preston. Extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun on the water. Definitely 5 stars !!!!!

Preston did an amazing job when taking us out, he really knows his stuff. Personal bests have been broken going out with Preston and I will definitely keep going with him. A class act dude! I highly recommend Sycamore fly fishing. He can put you on fish!
